The FC Melon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Erdődy got free with Ján Tuleja in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, MIK Focus ŽILINA's Ivan Erdődy got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Tomáš Semenník shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ladislav Vališ showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ján Tuleja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáč Hanigovský, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ladislav Vališ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomáš Semenník in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Semenník in the 23rd minute of play forced MIK Focus ŽILINA's goalkeeper Ladislav Vališ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Tomáš Semenník shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Vališ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When MIK Focus ŽILINA's Jarne Vloeberghs in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Erdődy got free with Ján Tuleja in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 minutes of play, FC Melon's Tomáš Semenník made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ladislav Vališ was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ben Macrez hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, FC Melon's Tomáš Semenník shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ladislav Vališ came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Melon reached it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to FC Melon getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Matej Velits hit a great ball. Martin Vozár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the match, MIK Focus ŽILINA's goal looked a bit too open when Matej Adamec came free, but Ladislav Vališ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MIK Focus ŽILINA defense, Tomáš Semenník kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislav Vališ. The MIK Focus ŽILINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislav Vališ should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, MIK Focus ŽILINA's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimír Madeja came free, but Ladislav Vališ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladislav Vališ made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Erik Žitňár sent off a good shot on target. FC Melon's Ján Tuleja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Erdődy in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes FC Melon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stanislav Melník who took care of the corner kick. The corner led MIK Focus ŽILINA's Zulkarnaen Bramantio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ján Tuleja despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lukáč Hanigovský took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ján Tuleja. Ján Tuleja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Tomáš Malý could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Ladislav Vališ made a huge save. Ján Tuleja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáč Hanigovský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ján Tuleja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Ivana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Ivana in the 95th minute of play forced FC Melon's goalkeeper Ján Tuleja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Melon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Melon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
