The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mevlüt Tacir was the one to do the kick off. Mevlüt Tacir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herbert Valler having to make a save. But to his dismay, Sebati Arıtan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 81st minute, Frank Ribéry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Menderes Özdoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Menderes Özdoa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
