After 13 minutes of play, Ponte do Carro's Simão Boaventura made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvaldo Brasil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edvaldo Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Boaventura in the 16th minute of play. Edvaldo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Boaventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Loukianos Livas made a precise shot to the right of Edvaldo Brasil. SAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Simão Boaventura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loukianos Livas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SAS's Luiz Guilherme Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lauro Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Loukianos Livas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ponte do Carro's supporters rose to their feet, but Loukianos Livas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Livas came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, SAS's Edvaldo Brasil got control of the ball when Alcino Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 72 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Paraense came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Loukianos Livas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Brasil. SAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loukianos Livas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Ponte do Carro's Manuel Carvalhal was substituted for Gregório Jesus. The crowd rose to their feet as Loukianos Livas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edvaldo Brasil. That made the score 1-5 in the 88 minute of play. In the 94th minute, Glauco Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Simão Boaventura lined in a short shot 1-6 behind a frustrated Edvaldo Brasil. Ponte do Carro played a much better game than SAS and deserved their victory. The SAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
