After 8 minutes MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Gökalp Cengel who took care of the corner kick. Ahmet Sedat Nasreddin kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Niyazi Işıklar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Varela saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Leopoldo Varela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ali Orhan Tuncer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulki Tüzel in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hulki Tüzel in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Orhan Tuncer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alptuğ Boğataş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Varela made a huge save. Kutluay Ömürcan's late challenge caught a MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kutluay Ömürcan helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Hulki Tüzel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Orhan Tuncer was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Leopoldo Varela came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Niyazi Işıklar. But to his dismay, Niyazi Işıklar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alptuğ Boğataş's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leopoldo Varela firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's goalkeeper Ali Orhan Tuncer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hulki Tüzel in the 60th minute of play forced MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's goalkeeper Ali Orhan Tuncer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 68th minute of the match Kutluay Ömürcan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent.
