Spectators: 14377 (Terracing: 10000, Seating: 4027, VIP seats: 350) Kazakhstan's Klim Kostygin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Innokentiy Blyakhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Innokentiy Blyakhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Isăilă in the 4th minute of play. Maksimilian Golovnitskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Niculae Ailenei made a huge save. Niculae Ailenei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erofey Kurashov in the 9th minute. Manuel Isăilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Innokentiy Blyakhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kazakhstan's goalkeeper Innokentiy Blyakhin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Romania's Manuel Isăilă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Innokentiy Blyakhin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Innokentiy Blyakhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Isăilă in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Isăilă in the 22nd minute of play forced Kazakhstan's goalkeeper Innokentiy Blyakhin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Innokentiy Blyakhin came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Romania's Manuel Isăilă. But to his dismay, Manuel Isăilă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 28th minute Manuel Isăilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Blyakhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romania's Emanuel Mălăele got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horea Boian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innokentiy Blyakhin having to interfere. Manuel Isăilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Innokentiy Blyakhin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kazakhstan's zone, Manuel Isăilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Innokentiy Blyakhin came out of the goal and Manuel Isăilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Kazakhstan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by May Demyanenko to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Manuel Isăilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Isăilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innokentiy Blyakhin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niculae Ailenei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klim Kostygin, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Kazakhstan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Romania were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Manuel Isăilă made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Romania getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Emanuel Mălăele hit a great ball. Romania's Niculae Ailenei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erofey Kurashov in the 51st minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Erofey Kurashov came free, but Niculae Ailenei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Innokentiy Blyakhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Manuel Isăilă elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Innokentiy Blyakhin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Romania made a substitution. Traian Curuțiu replaced Pompiliu Cristian. Romania's Octav Blănaru was substituted for Mihnea Stanca. Kazakhstan's Innokentiy Blyakhin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Isăilă in the 69th minute of play. Romania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ştefan Iovan in the 70th minute. After taking down the ball on Romania's corner Ştefan Iovan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Innokentiy Blyakhin quite easily take care of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Manuel Isăilă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Innokentiy Blyakhin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Kazakhstan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Romania:s goal. Romania's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
