Spectators: 15921 (Terracing: 10000, Seating: 5448, VIP seats: 473) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Martin Rana kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Martin Rana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mänsur Rzayev. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Müşfiq Ähäcanov in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Andreas Maxsø. A collision led to Azerbaijan getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Aqil Mövsümov hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Martin Rana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Rana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Rana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mänsur Rzayev having to interfere. Martin Rana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mänsur Rzayev came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Andreas Maxsø. But to his dismay, Andreas Maxsø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Martin Rana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Mänsur Rzayev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Martin Rana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mänsur Rzayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rana in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Rana in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mänsur Rzayev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Rana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Rana might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mänsur Rzayev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Rana ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Rana in the 45th minute of play forced Azerbaijan's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aqil Mövsümov was the one to do the kick off. Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rana in the 52nd minute of play. Mänsur Rzayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rana in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Karsten Ulbak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Karsten Ulbak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mänsur Rzayev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denmark made a substitution. Danny Grønnow replaced Ditlev Delmont. Denmark's Svend Betz was substituted for Martin Rana. In the 62nd minute, Svend Betz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mänsur Rzayev didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Denmark's Svend Betz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Mänsur Rzayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svend Betz in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute, one of Azerbaijan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azerbaijan. Svend Betz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Svend Betz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mänsur Rzayev having to make a save. Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svend Betz in the 85th minute of play. Denmark's Nils Elmhuus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Svend Betz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the game, Denmark's Svend Betz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mänsur Rzayev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lenni Skensved during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svend Betz in the 95th minute of the match. If Svend Betz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Denmark fully deserved thier win.
