Äli Abdulrähmanov got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Äliqulu Vermäliyev. Pavel Hanka came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Azerbaijan's Adışirin Azayev. But to his dismay, Adışirin Azayev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Häsrät Azamämmädov in the 26th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Pavel Hanka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Šedina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Šedina in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Robert Šedina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azerbaijan's Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Šedina in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Azerbaijan's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Šedina came free, but Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Šedina's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Jan Plocek kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Azerbaijan booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Plocek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Czech Republic fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Czech Republic's Robert Šedina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Czech Republic's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
