After 5 minutes, Timmy Galle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chinese CJ Youth Academy and the Golden Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Turgut Soyuer might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Lundqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Turgut Soyuer ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 9th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anders Lundqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Turgut Soyuer went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Luan Pombo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Turgut Soyuer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Loco Durazno heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 43rd minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

David Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Steven in the 51st minute of play. David Abad came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's Bebben Johansson. But to his dismay, Bebben Johansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Markus Svensson scored 5-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Abad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. İbrahim Efe Topdemir replaced Marcelo Steven. The supporters of Chinese CJ Youth Academy booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joschi Hook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Markus Svensson. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Joschi Hook hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Turgut Soyuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Burç Tokhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chinese CJ Youth Academy's David Abad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anders Lundqvist came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Lucjan Falkiewicz. But to his dismay, Lucjan Falkiewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Lions FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chinese CJ Youth Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
