Freddie Wikander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Semih having to interfere. Şafak Semih was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Edmund Lindholm capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmund Lindholm really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Şafak Şeref sped through Ekerö IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arvin Bollström. When Bengt-Arne Biörnberg came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ekerö IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Arne Biörnberg couldn't finish the play. Arvin Bollström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müfit Tolgahan, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Diego Armando de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Ekerö IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Armando de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Edmund Lindholm scored 5-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şafak Semih, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şafak Semih was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Edmund Lindholm capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmund Lindholm really showed his touch with that goal: 6-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Müfit Tolgahan made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Osman Cerit during the 50th minute. In the 52nd minute, Edmund Lindholm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şafak Semih was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Freddie Wikander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmund Lindholm in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şafak Semih saved Samsunspor from getting behind. After some careless play in the Samsunspor defense, Freddie Wikander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şafak Semih. The Samsunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şafak Semih should have stopped the shot. Edmund Lindholm took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şafak Semih. Şafak Semih dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. A collision led to Ekerö IF getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bengt-Arne Biörnberg hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Samsunspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Arvin Bollström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mehmet Osman Cerit. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samsunspor's goalkeeper Şafak Semih, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddie Wikander in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şafak Semih saved Samsunspor from getting behind. Şafak Semih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Siöman in the 88th minute of play. Şafak Semih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Lindholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ekerö IF's Edmund Lindholm got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ekerö IF had played much better football throughout.
