Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Hortopan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ronnys Lärjungar's Andy Västberg got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 7 played minutes Ronnys Lärjungar got a freekick which was hit by Christoforos Manousopoulos. Iker Casillas made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Stelian Hortopan sent off a good shot on target. The Ronnys Lärjungar fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Ronnys Lärjungar's Stelian Hortopan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iker Casillas made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Stelian Hortopan sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Stelian Hortopan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iker Casillas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Otang Irawan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bennvar Buffon was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 25 minutes Ronnys Lärjungar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabrizio Canzano who took care of the corner kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Hortopan came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Doctor Sick in the 44th minute really tested Iker Casillas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Villa Gordiani getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Franco Cacciatore hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ove Bergman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ronnys Lärjungar got a freekick which was hit by Andy Västberg. Amos Ruggeri made a great header on Villa Gordiani's corner, it was just that Ronnys Lärjungar's Bennvar Buffon managed to reach the ball for a save. When Ronnys Lärjungar's Stelian Hortopan in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was Stelian Hortopan who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Villa Gordiani's goalie and right to Roy Keane. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Villa Gordiani's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 83rd minute, Stelian Hortopan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otang Irawan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stelian Hortopan in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Casillas saved Villa Gordiani from getting behind. Xu Gang Bing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Casillas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Stelian Hortopan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Casillas was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Ronnys Lärjungar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
