But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Moreno couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Meols FC's Alfredo Galdamez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Ventura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredo Galdamez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ventura having to interfere. Mariano Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Lovo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Sandoval in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Saul Mondragon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saul Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector Guerra during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Galdamez in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Ventura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Woolwich United booed when Meols FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Woolwich United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Mondragon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Meols FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Galdamez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Meols FC's Max Lovo got control of the ball when Saul Mondragon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Moreno scored 2-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Ventura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
