After 7 minutes of play, LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Luís Regalado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmar Mendiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Mächler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Luís Regalado got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes in the game Alfredo Giolo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luís Regalado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Neppi in the 22nd minute of play forced Maitros FC's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Luís Regalado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Mendiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Barreto in the 33rd minute of the match. Augusto Fornos charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 82nd minute, Armin Mächler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Maitros FC's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Regalado. After taking down the ball on LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's corner Hugo Boianelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oliver Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. Despite being the better team, Maitros FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
