In the 9th minute Mario Neppi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Menjivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of LenSalvador CF-A.C.S booed when SantaAna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Arhenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Luís Regalado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SantaAna's Salvador Menjivar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Salvador Menjivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Regalado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes SantaAna got a freekick which was hit by Holger Arhenius. Joselito Rey got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Oswaldo Reyes. Luís Regalado scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salvador Menjivar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oswaldo Reyes scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delmar Mendiko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Delmar Mendiko got control of the ball when Holger Arhenius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joselito Rey's late challenge caught a LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joselito Rey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Joselito Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Neppi in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salvador Menjivar saved SantaAna from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Regalado made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mario Neppi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to LenSalvador CF-A.C.S getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mario Neppi hit a great ball. Luís Regalado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Menjivar having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, SantaAna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joselito Rey to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Menjivar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Regalado in the 60th minute. LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Hugo Boianelli got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64 played minutes SantaAna got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Carrillo. In the 68th minute, Enrique Hinguanzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Salvador Menjivar threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mario Neppi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Delmar Mendiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Mario Neppi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Salvador Menjivar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 78 minutes, Luís Regalado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Regalado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's Zeng Wei Feng was substituted for Andrés Villalobos. In the 80th match minute, SantaAna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Benavides to maneuver through the defense. Luís Regalado might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvador Menjivar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Regalado ran back to his position shaking his head. When SantaAna's Felipe Cerna in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. LenSalvador CF-A.C.S's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carmelo Benavides ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carmelo Benavides shot a long shot in the 85th minute and a light blocked Delmar Mendiko hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-2. A collision led to SantaAna getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Joselito Rey hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes LenSalvador CF-A.C.S got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Mark. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
