After having played for 32 minutes, Armando Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Burni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Sabino in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goalkeeper Eulalio Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmar Jerold. Delmiro Romano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Dimo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lucas Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Ongile was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Edgardo Sabino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgardo Sabino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Sabino made a kick off. Joaquin Dimo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Romano having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Resistencia's Delmiro Romano threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armando Burni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 75 minutes, Armando Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Burni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Silviano charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Silviano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
