Eduardo Hats's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Bingen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Joel Papo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Papo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silverio Sanson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alvaro Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Sergio Naldo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Manzaneros Cuahutemoc AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Naldo couldn't finish the play. Joel Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes, Manzaneros Cuahutemoc AFC's Aquilino Sanduru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximino Haritz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manzaneros Cuahutemoc AFC reached it. Maximino Haritz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustacio Ostargi in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Sergio Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Ostargi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Maximino Haritz made a huge save. Eustacio Ostargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Haritz having to interfere. Maximino Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Naldo in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustacio Ostargi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Papo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Bingen having to make a save. Maximino Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Sanduru in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Eustacio Ostargi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manzaneros Cuahutemoc AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Ostargi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Haritz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abelardo Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joel Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Naldo in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Tiburcio Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Shantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Naldo in the 93rd minute of play forced Atahona's goalkeeper Maximino Haritz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Bingen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Papo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
