Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hugo Gombal started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Nunez Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orizaba Veracruz México and the Volcán players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Orizaba Veracruz México was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Fanuco to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Amador Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Denis Pirro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Cristos was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Volcán's Jose Barto got a free kick in the 9th minute. Denis Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amador Geofredo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Volcán booed when Orizaba Veracruz México was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ereinotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Orizaba Veracruz México's Maximiliano Dolcet got control of the ball when Esteban Nuno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Volcán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Barto to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Cristos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Pirro in the 30th minute of play. If Denis Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Gombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Cristos having to interfere. In the 36th minute Denis Pirro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Cristos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Pirro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Denis Pirro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Cristos having to make a save. In the 44th minute Hugo Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Cristos having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inocencio Eriz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Hugo Gombal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orizaba Veracruz México fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Maximiliano Dolcet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Barto in the 64th minute of the match. Volcán's Emanuel Cristos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Volcán from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Volcán's Emanuel Cristos got control of the ball when Hugo Gombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximiliano Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Eriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Cristos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Pirro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 77 minute of play. Amador Geofredo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximiliano Dolcet. Maximiliano Dolcet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Orizaba Veracruz México left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Volcán.
