With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulgencio Platon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 4 minutes into the match, Aguacateros de Tepetongo's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Omero came free, but Fulgencio Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Aguacateros de Tepetongo's zone, Danilo Espiridion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Platon came out of the goal and Danilo Espiridion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aguacateros de Tepetongo's Fulgencio Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Espiridion in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes LAUTARO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Nuno. Igor Pelayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, LAUTARO FC's Martin Omero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Platon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fulgencio Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Omero in the 34th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Martin Omero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aguacateros de Tepetongo's Fulgencio Platon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Espiridion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fulgencio Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of LAUTARO FC booed when Aguacateros de Tepetongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Sengrat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Iturri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Pelayo was the one to do the kick off. Martin Omeros short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Fulgencio Platon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, LAUTARO FC's Guaberto Tolino got a free kick in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Aguacateros de Tepetongo's Silvio Ruisko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Iturri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
