In the 17th minute, Freddy Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Reynaldo Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arano FC's goalkeeper Blas Claus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Reynaldo Vito in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The Monserrat FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Monserrat FC's Reynaldo Vito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carmelo Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Blas Claus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiburcio Laurendi to make the kick off. Monserrat FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isaac Rosario in the 64th minute. The corner led Monserrat FC's Isaac Rosario to fire away a dangerous shot which Blas Claus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Reynaldo Vito came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Monserrat FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Vito couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute of the match Esteban Meendez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blas Claus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Reynaldo Vito took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Blas Claus to make any attempt to save it. After 75 minutes of play, Monserrat FC's Reynaldo Vito made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blas Claus was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute, Esteban Meendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Jurgi's late challenge caught a Monserrat FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Jurgi helped the player get up and apologised. Santo Jurgi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Carmelo Calvino struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Blas Claus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monserrat FC. Cesar Montxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Carmelo Calvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
