Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Vito started the match with the kick off. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The supporters of Monserrat FC booed when Independencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Mede didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Carmelo Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monserrat FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Calvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Fe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Reynaldo Vito took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Epifanio Fe to make any attempt to save it. 64 minutes into the game, Carmelo Calvino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Epifanio Fe. Carmelo Calvino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Reynaldo Vito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Fe having to interfere. Joaquin Ermengol hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Carmelo Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monserrat FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Epifanio Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Monserrat FC's Reynaldo Vito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Fe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carmelo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Vito might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Epifanio Fe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Vito ran back to his position shaking his head. If Carmelo Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Monserrat FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Independencia.
