Spectators: 7994 (Terracing: 6014, Seating: 1825, VIP seats: 155) Fabian Murillo stood somewhat misplaced when Mario Nesor came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 6 minute. Rayos GDL's Jacobo Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Iraunkor in the 11th minute of play. Jacobo Benet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Iraunkor went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute, Rayos GDL's Mario Nesor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Jacobo Benet came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Saladas's Eloy Abaunza. But to his dismay, Eloy Abaunza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Atilano Iraunkor struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jacobo Benet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saladas. Jacobo Benet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Iraunkor in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Atilano Iraunkor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jacobo Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atilano Iraunkor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Benet having to interfere. Jacobo Benet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Iraunkor in the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rayos GDL's zone, Mauricio Leoiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Benet came out of the goal and Mauricio Leoiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Natalio Ospin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Nesor in the 53rd minute of play. Mauricio Leoiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jacobo Benet made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Rayos GDL's goalkeeper Jacobo Benet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Gustau. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Atilano Iraunkor took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Jacobo Benet to make any attempt to save it. Bartolo Abaunza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Rayos GDL's Atilano Cordareo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Atilano Iraunkor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Benet having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Saladas's Atilano Iraunkor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Benet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Rayos GDL booed when Saladas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Iraunkor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Iraunkor struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jacobo Benet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saladas. 85 minutes in the game, Atilano Iraunkor fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jacobo Benet having to interfere. Abelardo Gustau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Alvaro Txartiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Atilano Iraunkor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacobo Benet. The goal made the score 2-5. In the 94th match minute, Rayos GDL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Txartiko to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Saladas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rayos GDL.
