In the 6th minute, Edgard Llope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Florentino Goi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Estebe was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The supporters of Avellaneda FC booed when FC Colibries was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Evarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Colibries's zone, Florentino Goi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Estebe came out of the goal and Florentino Goi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Jairo Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Llope kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Florentino Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Goi in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Estebe saved FC Colibries from getting behind. Ciriaco Peli made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Benicio Tonete sent off a good shot on target. In the 26thth minute of the game Florentino Goi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Colibries's Remigio Estebe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciriaco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Llope in the 27th minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Colibries's Ciriaco Peli threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgard Llope, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 33 minutes into the match, Avellaneda FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Peli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benicio Tonete. 34 minutes into the game, Teodosio Manuelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avellaneda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Colibries the free kick. A collision led to Avellaneda FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Teodosio Manuelo hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgard Llope kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciriaco Peli. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Antonio Evarado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Colibries's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avellaneda FC the free kick. Antonio Evarado hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Benicio Tonete who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Ciriaco Peli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benicio Tonete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benicio Tonete struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ciriaco Peli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Colibries. 55 minutes into the game, Jesus Modestio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ciriaco Peli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the match, FC Colibries's goalkeeper Remigio Estebe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Ruy. Benicio Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, one of Avellaneda FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avellaneda FC. Lucio Ponce shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Goi in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Estebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Tonete in the 70th minute of play forced Avellaneda FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jesus Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, FC Colibries's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Benvide came free, but Remigio Estebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benicio Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Avellaneda FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Peli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benicio Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Benicio Tonete made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Peli. Avellaneda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Edgard Llope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benicio Tonete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Peli having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Colibries fully deserved thier win.
