Manuel Villarreal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Hever having to interfere. After 10 played minutes, Club Stars's Romulo Sayvion shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eriberto Hever came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Stars reached it. Paulino Quezada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Hever read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Eriberto Hever came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Stars's Paulino Quezada. But to his dismay, Paulino Quezada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Eriberto Hever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Quezada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 30 minutes, Manuel Villarreal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Villarreal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Soto FC's Andres Transito got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Hever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Quezada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquilino Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Bastian in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Soto FC's zone, Mateo Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Hever came out of the goal and Mateo Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Quezada was the one to do the kick off. If Angel Bastian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Quezada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Manuel Villarreal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Hever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Angel Bastian fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soto FC's protests and gave Angel Bastian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Soto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Bastian to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Hever came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Stars's Paulino Quezada. But to his dismay, Paulino Quezada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Mateo Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anastasio Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Rivaldo Ogazón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Villarreal struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Eriberto Hever didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Stars. When Club Stars's Paulino Quezada in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Soto FC's goalie prevented a goal.
