But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Gorka couldn't finish the play. Mario Gamus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Snäll, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes Smith AFC got a freekick which was hit by Justo Gorka. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Snäll got free with Mario Gamus in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Smith AFC's Mario Gamus got control of the ball when Léandre Ayewubo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Smith AFC's Mario Gamus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Smith AFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Léandre Ayewubo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mario Gamus to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Génesis booed when Smith AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Bieito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Gamus was a little too slow when Léandre Ayewubo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Mario Gamus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Biagio Di Martino went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Cristobal Urtats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Furkan Sağbilge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léandre Ayewubo in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Gamus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Smith AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Génesis:s goal. The referee gave Génesis a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dalmacio Mikelats, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Smith AFC's Mario Gamus. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Uxio in the 60th minute of play forced Smith AFC's goalkeeper Mario Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Justo Gorka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wiktor Snäll in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Gamus saved Smith AFC from getting behind. A collision led to Smith AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Furkan Sağbilge hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Gorka in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Lartaun saved Génesis from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Furkan Sağbilge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Gamus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Snäll in the 80th minute of the match. When Génesis's Wiktor Snäll in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Smith AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Mario Gamus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Mario Gamus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léandre Ayewubo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Génesis's Santo Uxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Gamus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Smith AFC's Mario Gamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Uxio in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Smith AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Léandre Ayewubo came free, but Mario Gamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Génesis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
