Algarrobal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Ongile was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Algarrobal's Jose Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Geofredo in the 7th minute of play. Ariel Geofredo struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jose Guillem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union Teporochos. In the 10th minute Ariel Geofredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Geofredo in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobal's zone, David Ongile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Guillem came out of the goal and David Ongile tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Ariel Geofredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algarrobal's Jose Guillem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Union Teporochos were awarded a corner. Jacobo Rojelio went to the cornerflag to take it. Angelo Fresco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Ariel Geofredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Union Teporochos's David Ongile in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jose Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ongile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Guillem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Geofredo in the 43rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Ongile in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Guillem saved Algarrobal from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Geofredo to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by David Ongile got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ariel Geofredo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jose Guillem came out and tried to block the shot, but Ariel Geofredo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 55th minute. Algarrobal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ariel Geofredo 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silverio Mosen got free with Jose Guillem in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes in the game, Ariel Geofredo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jose Guillem having to interfere. In the 65th play minute David Ongile came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jose Guillem. 0-7. 68 minutes into the match, Algarrobal's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Geofredo came free, but Jose Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Union Teporochos's Ariel Geofredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jose Guillem. Jose Guillem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobal's zone, Ariel Geofredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Guillem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Ongile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jose Guillem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Ariel Geofredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Evelio Cordarryl came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Algarrobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Cordarryl couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Algarrobal's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Geofredo came free, but Jose Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Union Teporochos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
