The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, Godfredo Arnau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torpedos AFC and the Perla Negra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Enaut had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Filomeno Gagriel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Filomeno Gagriel scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Enaut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuel Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ruperto Galtero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torpedos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Galtero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Igon took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Ponce. Samuel Ponce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 27th minute, Benito Raymond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Ponce was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Saul Pacorro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Perla Negra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Pacorro couldn't finish the play. Ivan Enaut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Pacorro in the 40th minute. Ciriaco Fidencio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Godfredo Arnau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Ponce skillfully saved the ball. In the 47th minute Ruperto Galtero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Ponce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benito Raymond to make the kick off. When Ruperto Galtero fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torpedos AFC's protests and gave Ruperto Galtero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Torpedos AFC's Ruperto Galtero got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Benito Raymond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torpedos AFC's Ruperto Galtero got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Benito Igon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Ponce. Benito Igon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Ivan Enaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Jon in the 72nd minute of play. If Ruperto Galtero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Roldan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Samuel Ponce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruperto Galtero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Perla Negra FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ruperto Galtero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 86 minutes, Ciriaco Fidencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perla Negra FC and the Torpedos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Perla Negra FC's Ciriaco Fidencio got a free kick in the 87th minute. Torpedos AFC's Ruperto Galtero got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
