The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Perla Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Napier came free, but Samuel Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 minutes, Ciriaco Fidencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perla Negra FC and the Otamendi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Perla Negra FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Otamendi. David Dolfo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Samuel Ponce. 0-1. Elias Fidensio made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Saul Pacorro sent off a good shot on target. If Cirilo Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Fidensio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Chucho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Otamendi's Bonifacio Napier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Ponce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Samuel Ponce came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Otamendi's Teofilo Jeraldo. But to his dismay, Teofilo Jeraldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Perla Negra FC's Samuel Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Napier in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Napier notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Perla Negra FC's Samuel Ponce. Samuel Ponce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Otamendi's Elias Fidensio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Chucho in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Perla Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Inautzi to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Perrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Hipolito Jon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elias Fidensio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 0-5 became the score in the 41st minute when Teofilo Jeraldo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Perla Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Napier came free, but Samuel Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Ponce came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Otamendi's Teofilo Jeraldo. But to his dismay, Teofilo Jeraldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

After some careless play in the Perla Negra FC defense, Bonifacio Napier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Ponce. The Perla Negra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Ponce should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Perla Negra FC's Ismael Vistruario got a free kick in the 63rd minute. David Dolfo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Samuel Ponce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Napier in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Otamendi's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Chucho came free, but Elias Fidensio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cirilo Chucho in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Fidensio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute of the match, Bonifacio Napier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuel Ponce was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Otamendi getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Filomeno Criston hit a great ball. The Perla Negra FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Otamendi's performance. The match ended with a win for Otamendi.
