With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Mino in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulino Rey saved Chantico FC from getting behind. In the 23rdth minute of the game Elvio Patxi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragones Tampico's Hakkı Demircan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Chantico FC booed when Dragones Tampico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragones Tampico's Santo Mino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 29 played minutes Dragones Tampico got a freekick which was hit by Justino Blasco. Elvio Patxi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hakkı Demircan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Paulino Rey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Dragones Tampico's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Patxi came free, but Hakkı Demircan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Patxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elvio Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakkı Demircan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Txilar got free with Paulino Rey in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Mino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
