With a little luck, Palmita FC's Constantino Hotz got control of the ball when Denis Quirze tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Jaume got free with Constantino Hotz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omar Belarmo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantino Hotz. Constantino Hotz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Denis Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Alfonso Gorka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Vigil hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Raimundo Jaume was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. International's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmita FC the free kick. After 33 played minutes International got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Jaume. Palmita FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Omar Belarmo scored to the left of an out of position Constantino Hotz, making the score, 3-0. After having played for 38 minutes, Denis Quirze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. International's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Quirze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Teofilio charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Teofilio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horacio Teofilio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Denis Quirze struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Constantino Hotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for International. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Belarmo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alfonso Gorka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Inocencio Cambranes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantino Hotz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Constantino Hotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Denis Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the International fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Quirze couldn't finish the play. The supporters of International booed when Palmita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Semeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sergio Perfecto fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored International's protests and gave Sergio Perfecto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, International's Sergio Perfecto got a free kick in the 69th minute. Constantino Hotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Jaume in the 71st minute of play. Froilan Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Hotz having to interfere. If Sergio Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Constantino Hotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mateo Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Palmita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Aballe couldn't finish the play. Mateo Aballe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norberto Polentzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Constantino Hotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Omar Belarmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Constantino Hotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the International players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
