A collision led to Dragón Red FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eusebio Koldo hit a great ball. Fausto Ariando struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Orlando Maore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TECATE FC. Orlando Maore acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arturo Eutropio. If Fausto Ariando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22ndth minute of the game Emiliano Orzaize who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragón Red FC's Orlando Maore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Ariando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Orlando Maore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Orzaize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Emiliano Orzaize kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orlando Maore. That made the score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play.

The referee ignored Dragón Red FC's protests and gave Cecilio Raymon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Dragón Red FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Raymon to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Maore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Orzaize in the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ramon Estefan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Generoso Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Frasco in the 97th minute of play. Dragón Red FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
