Tequileros FC's attentive Angel Osoro managed to snatch the ball when Marco Delfino made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Edgard Magdaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Reyes having to interfere. Edgard Magdaleno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Casimiro Reyes made a huge save. If Andres Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casimiro Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Edgard Magdaleno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zapotecos FC's Casimiro Reyes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zapotecos FC's goalkeeper Casimiro Reyes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute Tequileros FC were awarded a corner. Waclaw Szostak went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Han Yue Hong advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tequileros FC's zone, Zacarias Mede stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Sadurni came out of the goal and Zacarias Mede tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Edgard Magdaleno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Reyes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Edgard Lécuyer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casimiro Reyes. Zapotecos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Lécuyer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 36 minutes Zapotecos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waclaw Szostak who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Tequileros FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Saverio Roano hit a great ball. When Edgard Magdaleno came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Tequileros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Magdaleno couldn't finish the play. In the 44thth minute of the game Tobias Pes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tequileros FC's Luisito Sadurni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Lécuyer was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Lécuyer in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Casimiro Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Lécuyer in the 64th minute of play. Casimiro Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Lécuyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casimiro Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tequileros FC's Venancio Azeari was substituted for Andreas Brehme. Luisito Sadurni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Beila in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Zapotecos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Magdaleno came free, but Casimiro Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casimiro Reyes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Magdaleno went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Tequileros FC booed when Zapotecos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Delfino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tequileros FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Tequileros FC's Edgard Magdaleno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Baudelio in the 94th minute of play forced Zapotecos FC's goalkeeper Casimiro Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tequileros FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
