In the 4th match minute, Nassington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Gamero to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Fairfield's Emerson Carballo tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jairo Ancheta struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Marcos Sanchez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nassington FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Deris Galdamez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nassington FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Deris Galdamez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jairo Ancheta struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Sanchez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nassington FC. Ulises Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Nassington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Bermudez came free, but Edgar Larios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deris Galdamez in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Bermudez in the 29th minute of play forced Nassington FC's goalkeeper Edgar Larios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fairfield getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Erick Ramirez hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Deris Galdamez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Sanchez was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Deris Galdamez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sanchez having to interfere. Deris Galdamez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nassington FC's Jairo Ancheta got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Ancheta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Jairo Ancheta made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ulises Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Hinguanzo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Edgar Larios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Bermudez went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Orlando Bermudez might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Larios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Bermudez ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Sanchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deris Galdamez in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Erick Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fairfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nassington FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Fairfield's Erick Ramirez got a free kick in the 71st minute. Amilcar Mena, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 77th minute Ulises Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Larios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Fairfield's Marcos Sanchez got control of the ball when Deris Galdamez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Fairfield's goalkeeper Marcos Sanchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deris Galdamez. Jairo Ancheta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marcos Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Larios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 90 minutes, Deris Galdamez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nassington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deris Galdamez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Erick Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Deris Galdamez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Fairfield were victorious despite being under pressure from Nassington FC for much of the match.
