After a rather tough play, Olimpia's Leopoldo Uranga got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Oscar Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Meza in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Olimpia's Omar Navas got a free kick in the 10th minute. Patricio Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Paredes's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jose Meza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Patricio Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Meza in the 21st minute of play. Ulises Mora's late challenge caught a FC Bayern United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Mora helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leopoldo Uranga hit a great ball. Oscar Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Meza in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Lara saved Olimpia from getting behind. If Omar Navas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Jose Meza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Meza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Lara came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bayern United's Oscar Paredes. But to his dismay, Oscar Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 46th minute, FC Bayern United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Omar Navas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After the first half FC Bayern United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Jose Meza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omar Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Lara was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Oscar Paredes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oscar Paredes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Olimpia's Patricio Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia from getting a goal against them. Isaac Rodriguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Espindola having to make a save. After 73 minutes, Richard Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bayern United and the Olimpia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Richard Pinho hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Omar Navas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Navas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Espindola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Rodriguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jose Meza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Patricio Lara made a huge save. Oscar Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Rivero. The FC Bayern United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
