Edgar Dubons short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Antonio Mondragon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Antonio Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Salguero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, kevin f.c.'s Oscar Padilla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Bautista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mauro Salguero might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Mondragon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Salguero ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, kevin f.c.'s Antonio Mondragon got control of the ball when Edgar Dubon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Alas during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, kevin f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Alas to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Uranga charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Uranga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, kevin f.c.'s Francisco Uranga got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Arellano in the 26th minute of play forced Southport's goalkeeper Edwin Bautista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Dubon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Antonio Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edgar Dubon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Salguero in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Mondragon saved kevin f.c. from getting behind. Antonio Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Salguero in the 34th minute of the match. Edwin Bautista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Padilla in the 37th minute of play. kevin f.c.'s Antonio Mondragon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save kevin f.c. from getting a goal against them. Edgar Dubon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Mondragon having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Mauro Salguero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Salguero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Southport players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. kevin f.c. were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Mauro Salguero made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play kevin f.c.'s Francisco Uranga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, kevin f.c.'s Francisco Uranga got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Mauro Salguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Southport's Edgar Dubon got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mauro Salguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Mondragon came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Southport's Mauro Salguero. But to his dismay, Mauro Salguero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Edgar Dubon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southport's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Dubon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Mondragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Salguero in the 69th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, kevin f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Dubon came free, but Antonio Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oscar Padilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Southport's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oscar Padilla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Claudio Medrano kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Southport got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Cerna. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
