Oswaldo Mena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Pineda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aliança F.C's zone, Oswaldo Mena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Pineda came out of the goal and Oswaldo Mena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Mena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Pineda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Jairo Pineda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Mena, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kidmore End's Oswaldo Mena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Pineda. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 15th match minute, Aliança F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Guevara to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Aliança F.C getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Juan Alas hit a great ball. Jhalmar Batres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jhalmar Batres got free in front of the goal in the 24th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jairo Pineda was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Oswaldo Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jairo Pineda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Jhalmar Batres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jairo Pineda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jairo Pineda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Mena in the 33rd minute of the match. Aliança F.C's Jairo Pineda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Aliança F.C from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Aliança F.C getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Juan Alas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Aliança F.C's Agustin Guevara got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jhalmar Batres might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jairo Pineda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jhalmar Batres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute Oswaldo Mena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Pineda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jhalmar Batres in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Pineda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Pineda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhalmar Batres in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Oswaldo Mena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Oswaldo Mena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kidmore End's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Mena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Oswaldo Mena came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Kidmore End fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Mena couldn't finish the play. Aliança F.C's Jairo Pineda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Mena in the 72nd minute of play. The Kidmore End fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Kidmore End's Jhalmar Batres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the match, Aliança F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jhalmar Batres came free, but Jairo Pineda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
