After 18 played minutes FC Barandillas got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Valadares. In the 19th minute, Rene Cruz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Barandillas's Armand Marant didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Francesco Tarantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erick Vasquez was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Dino Fantozzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Erick Vasquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, FC Barandillas's Francesco Tarantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. FC Barandillas were furious when Paulo Renato Valadares was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When FC Barandillas's Dino Fantozzi in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Redruth City's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Redruth City defense, Metin Başhekim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erick Vasquez. The Redruth City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erick Vasquez should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Dino Fantozzi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. FC Barandillas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Erick Vasquez made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Dino Fantozzi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Redruth City getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jaime Lovo hit a great ball. Armand Marant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Molina in the 64th minute of play. If Francesco Tarantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Francesco Tarantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armand Marant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Murgas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, FC Barandillas's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Molina came free, but Armand Marant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Redruth City's goalkeeper Erick Vasquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dino Fantozzi. Dino Fantozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erick Vasquez having to interfere. If Dino Fantozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute Raúl Murgas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armand Marant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Redruth City's Raúl Murgas got a free kick in the 89th minute. Dino Fantozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benji Barquero kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Redruth City's Erick Vasquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Zaldaña in the 98th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Raúl Murgas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, FC Barandillas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
