Patricio Peña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Mora in the 6th minute of the match. Claudio Talia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Patricio Peña when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 15 minutes into the match, Claudio Talia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Peña. Thanet's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Talia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Patricio Melendez's late challenge caught a Alville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Melendez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Alville booed when Thanet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Melendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Pérez kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Selvin Carranza sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Patricio Peña threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Selvin Carranza this time. If Yasir Del Carmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Luis Cabrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnoldo Orozco. Alville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Cabrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With his leg Patricio Peña managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Alville's Claudio Talia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 43 minutes into the game, Felipe Mora recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patricio Peña. Felipe Mora showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Felipe Mora made the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Meza's late challenge caught a Thanet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Meza helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Alville got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Meza. Thanet's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pablo Carranza in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Pablo Carranza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnoldo Orozco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luis Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alville's Adolfo Meza suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Zelvin Rosales fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thanet's protests and gave Zelvin Rosales a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Thanet getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zelvin Rosales hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Claudio Talia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patricio Peña was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Arnoldo Orozco was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Yasir Del Carmen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yasir Del Carmen really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Luis Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Thanet booed when Alville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Claudio Talia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. After 92 minutes of play Thanet's Patricio Melendez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 93rd minute, Patricio Melendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Felipe Mora came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Alville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Mora couldn't finish the play. Patricio Peña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Talia's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
