In the 5th minute Diego Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armand Marant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Fantozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 18th minute of play forced Nazarenos's goalkeeper Antonio Barragan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Barragan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Tarantini in the 21st minute of play. FC Barandillas's Armand Marant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilmer Bentos in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Nazarenos booed when FC Barandillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Francesco Tarantini fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antonio Barragan, passed just outside the right post. Armand Marant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Fernandez in the 27th minute of play. Dino Fantozzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Antonio Barragan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Guillermo Bran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nazarenos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barandillas the free kick. In the 35th minute, Guillermo Bran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francesco Tarantini in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Barragan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Metin Başhekim struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Antonio Barragan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barandillas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 41st minute of play forced Nazarenos's goalkeeper Antonio Barragan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Zaldaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Dino Fantozzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonio Barragan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francesco Tarantini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Dino Fantozzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nazarenos's Antonio Barragan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Barandillas's Ulises Noyola got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Fantozzi in the 60th minute of play forced Nazarenos's goalkeeper Antonio Barragan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Fernandez in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Barandillas's goalkeeper Armand Marant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Barandillas's Ulises Noyola got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Dino Fantozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barandillas's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Fantozzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Barragan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 played minutes Nazarenos got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Bentos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Tarantini in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Barragan saved Nazarenos from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilmer Bentos during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nazarenos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Wilmer Bentos hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Francesco Tarantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Antonio Barragan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute Dino Fantozzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Barragan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Paz's late challenge caught a FC Barandillas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Fornos kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Barandillas had played much better football throughout.
