After a rather tough play, Pocklington's Baltazar Madariaga got a free kick in the 7th minute. Dino Fantozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Castro having to interfere. Fidel Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Armand Marant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Vinosis in the 18th minute of play forced FC Barandillas's goalkeeper Armand Marant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Juan Zaldaña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dino Fantozzi struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Edwin Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barandillas. Francesco Tarantini scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fidel Mena took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armand Marant. Armand Marant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 38th minute Francesco Tarantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Tarantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Fantozzi got free with Edwin Castro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fidel Mena's late challenge caught a FC Barandillas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Mena helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Pocklington got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Mena. 47 minutes into the match, Francesco Tarantini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edwin Castro, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Vinosis made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Fidel Mena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pocklington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Edwin Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Tarantini in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Fantozzi in the 60th minute of play forced Pocklington's goalkeeper Edwin Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pocklington's Edwin Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Francesco Tarantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barandillas's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Tarantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC Barandillas booed when Pocklington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Escalante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Metin Başhekim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Castro having to interfere. Francesco Tarantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Francesco Tarantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Mena took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armand Marant. Armand Marant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Pocklington were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Barandillas's much stronger midfield.
