An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Oporto in the 37th minute of play forced Cleveleys's goalkeeper Christian Santamaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Patricio Oporto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Santamaria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Patricio Oporto came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Marlow United fans jumped to their feet.
