The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Mike Tardy sped through Atletico Portuario's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidio Alfaro. The Made in Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Made in Honduras's Mike Tardy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 20 minutes, Elias Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Portuario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruth Schilder took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidio Alfaro. Ovidio Alfaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 29 minutes into the match, Atletico Portuario's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Brito came free, but Ovidio Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Ruth Schilder notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Atletico Portuario's Ovidio Alfaro. Ovidio Alfaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the game, Benji Guardado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Portuario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Made in Honduras the free kick. Benji Guardado hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Ruth Schilder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Alfaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After a rather tough play, Atletico Portuario's Wilber Ventura got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Morales to make the kick off. The supporters of Made in Honduras booed when Atletico Portuario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deris Gamero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Viscarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Alfaro having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Atletico Portuario's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Tardy came free, but Ovidio Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Brito in the 87th minute of play. Ovidio Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Alan Brito notched a goal, 1-12, to the right of Atletico Portuario's Ovidio Alfaro. Ovidio Alfaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Made in Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Portuario throughout the match.
