The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salisbury United's Andrés Díaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Figueroa in the 6th minute of play. Edwin Barrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Rivera, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Fidel Rivera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Edwin Barrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Will Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Barrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Salisbury United's goalkeeper Andrés Díaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldir Navas. 20 minutes into the game, Will Flores cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edwin Barrera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Ronald Figueroa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrés Díaz was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Will Flores got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Will Flores struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Edwin Barrera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salisbury United. Waldir Navas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrés Díaz having to make a save. If Ronald Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronald Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Andrés Díaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fidel Rivera to strike the kick off in the second half. Salisbury United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramon Cerna in the 54th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ramon Cerna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edwin Barrera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andrés Díaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Huezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes of play, Salisbury United's Will Flores made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin Barrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Ronald Pérez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrés Díaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bromley booed when Salisbury United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Rivera didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Bromley getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Waldir Navas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bromley's zone, Fidel Rivera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Barrera came out of the goal and Fidel Rivera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bromley booed when Salisbury United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Salguero, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Waldir Navas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Andrés Díaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronald Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Waldir Navas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bromley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Navas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Flores got free with Edwin Barrera in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Bromley supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Salisbury United's performance. The match ended with a win for Salisbury United.
