Lewes City's Rudy Rivera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sarbelio Coreas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Rivera having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Coria during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Weston Super Mare's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Salguero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
