He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Penistone City reached it. If Lorenzo Quintanilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Del Cid in the 10th minute of play forced Penistone City's goalkeeper Diego Gamero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Darlington's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Coreas came free, but Eliseo Galdamez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Coreas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Coreas in the 19th minute of play forced Darlington's goalkeeper Eliseo Galdamez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Galdamez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Penistone City's Humberto Coreas. But to his dismay, Humberto Coreas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Diego Gamero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lorenzo Quintanilla went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 28 played minutes, Penistone City's Rolando Orellana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseo Galdamez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Penistone City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgardo Sanchez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Félix Ruiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Penistone City were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Del Cid was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Claudio Leguizamon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Darlington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penistone City the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Darlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Leguizamon to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Darlington's goalkeeper Eliseo Galdamez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Félix Ruiz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Coreas in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Galdamez saved Darlington from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Humberto Coreas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Erick Murgas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Lorenzo Quintanilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Gamero was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Eliseo Galdamez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Penistone City's Humberto Coreas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. If Félix Ruiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Félix Ruiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eliseo Galdamez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Penistone City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
