After having played for 42 minutes, Shawn Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liss United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hiltingbury's Primitivo Orellana got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Alvarado was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Liss United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rafael Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Alvarado in the 59th minute of play forced Hiltingbury's goalkeeper Fabio Ulloa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Hiltingbury's protests and gave Manuel Escalante a yellow card for diving instead. Shawn Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hiltingbury players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Liss United.
