The referee ignored Kesgrave AFC's protests and gave Edwin Barraza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Clitheroe booed when Kesgrave AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Barraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Collado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Clitheroe's Wilmer Salamanca got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Kesgrave AFC's Erick Magaña broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Salvador Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kesgrave AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Guerrero made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Salvador Prado sent off a good shot on target. Kesgrave AFC's Oscar Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Collado in the 32nd minute of play. Clitheroe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victorino Bonilla in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Kesgrave AFC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Viscarra. Clitheroe's Victorino Bonilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kesgrave AFC. Primitivo Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Sifon, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Primitivo Guerrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sifon in the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Sifon to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Clitheroe booed when Kesgrave AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Viscarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Arnoldo Collado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Guerrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sifon in the 57th minute of the match. Wilmer Salamanca charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilmer Salamanca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arnoldo Collado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Oscar Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Collado struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Oscar Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clitheroe. In the 74th minute, Emerson Posadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Arnoldo Collado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clitheroe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Collado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Guerrero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Sifon in the 86th minute of play forced Clitheroe's goalkeeper Primitivo Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emerson Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Collado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oscar Nunes, 0-1. If Emerson Posadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Clitheroe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clitheroe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
