In the 14th minute, Jonathan Alferez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Clitheroe's Primitivo Guerrero didn't even have to move. Miguel Ulloa hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Clitheroe's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Coria came free, but Primitivo Guerrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Guerrero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Osorio in the 22nd minute of play forced Clitheroe's goalkeeper Primitivo Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnoldo Collado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Clitheroe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cesar Rivera's late challenge caught a Nottingham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesar Rivera helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Clitheroe getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cesar Rivera hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Emerson Posadas could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Max Hidalgo however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnoldo Collado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Max Hidalgo. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nottingham's zone, Arnoldo Collado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Hidalgo came out of the goal and Arnoldo Collado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Coria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Clitheroe's Miguel Ulloa pulled a muscle in his back after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Patricio Lara fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nottingham's protests and gave Patricio Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Clitheroe booed when Nottingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Bonilla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Max Hidalgo. Nottingham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Clitheroe's Primitivo Guerrero got control of the ball when Efrain Osorio tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nottingham's Manuel Coria in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clitheroe's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the game, Efrain Osorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Primitivo Guerrero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Emerson Posadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efrain Osorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Primitivo Guerrero made a huge save. Primitivo Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Coria in the 88th minute of play. When Wilmer Salamanca fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clitheroe's protests and gave Wilmer Salamanca a yellow card for diving instead. Wilmer Salamanca hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Manuel Coria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Primitivo Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nottingham booed when Clitheroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Max Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Clitheroe had played much better football throughout.
