El Quetzal F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Salvador Prado scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Ancheta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the match, El Quetzal F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Sifon came free, but Edwin Ancheta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Viscarra in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Ancheta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victorino Sifon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edwin Ancheta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shawn Palma to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Kesgrave AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Barraza to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, El Quetzal F.C's Efrain Cruz tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edwin Barraza got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Edwin Barraza hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Januario Toledano fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Quetzal F.C's protests and gave Januario Toledano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Quetzal F.C getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Januario Toledano hit a great ball. Kesgrave AFC's Diego Viscarra got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edwin Ancheta came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kesgrave AFC's Salvador Prado. But to his dismay, Salvador Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Salvador Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin Ancheta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When Shawn Palma came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the El Quetzal F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shawn Palma couldn't finish the play. Shawn Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Salamanca during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, El Quetzal F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Salamanca to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Kesgrave AFC's Salvador Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Ancheta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Salvador Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Ancheta having to interfere. Will Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Prado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Edwin Ancheta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. El Quetzal F.C's Shawn Palma got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januario Toledano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edwin Ancheta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Prado in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kesgrave AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
