In the 11th minute Shawn Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Palma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edwin Ancheta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Kesgrave AFC's Victorino Sifon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin Ancheta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salvador Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Victorino Sifon came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kesgrave AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Sifon couldn't finish the play. Edwin Ancheta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sifon in the 35th minute of the match. Salvador Prado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Edwin Ancheta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Prado got free with Edwin Ancheta in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Sifon to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, El Quetzal F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Sifon came free, but Edwin Ancheta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Shawn Palma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Quetzal F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Palma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Prado struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Edwin Ancheta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kesgrave AFC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Medrano during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, El Quetzal F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Medrano to maneuver through the defense. Erick Magaña succeeded in the game's 80th minute to get real power on a long shot . El Quetzal F.C's Edwin Ancheta hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! In the 84th minute Victorino Sifon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Ancheta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Salvador Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kesgrave AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin Ancheta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oscar Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Medrano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kesgrave AFC had played much better football throughout.
