But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Prado couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Sifon in the 9th minute of play forced Nacional De Guatemala's goalkeeper Dennys Leguizamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Prado scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennys Leguizamon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Rojas in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Nunes saved Kesgrave AFC from getting behind. A collision led to Kesgrave AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Diego Viscarra hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Nacional De Guatemala's goalkeeper Dennys Leguizamon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salvador Prado. With a little luck, Nacional De Guatemala's Dennys Leguizamon got control of the ball when Salvador Prado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nacional De Guatemala's Dennys Leguizamon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional De Guatemala from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Sifon in the 29th minute of play forced Nacional De Guatemala's goalkeeper Dennys Leguizamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennys Leguizamon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victorino Sifon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 38 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorino Sifon made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Salvador Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kesgrave AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennys Leguizamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennys Leguizamon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Prado in the 59th minute of the match. Salvador Prado struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Dennys Leguizamon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kesgrave AFC. Salvador Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dennys Leguizamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Viscarra's late challenge caught a Nacional De Guatemala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
