Selvin Cerna charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 25 played minutes, Chorley FC's Manuel Pérez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Primitivo Guerrero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chorley FC reached it. Omar Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Primitivo Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primitivo Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonso Murgas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Collado in the 46th minute of play forced Chorley FC's goalkeeper Franklin Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonso Murgas to make the kick off. Primitivo Guerrero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Medina went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, Chorley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Collado came free, but Franklin Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
